Q: How do we find Gulf Islands Waterpark?

A: From the West on I-10: Exit Canal Road North. Travel 0.9 miles to Landon Road, take a right. Travel east on Landon Road 1.1 miles, take a right into the entrance of the Gulfport Sportsplex and Gulf Islands Waterpark. 
From the East on I-10: Exit Highway 49 North. Immediately merge left and turn onto Landon Road. Travel west on Landon Road 1.0 miles, take a left into the entrance of the Gulfport Sportsplex and Gulf Islands Waterpark. 
From the North on Highway 49: Turn right onto Landon Road. Travel west on Landon Road 1.0 miles, take a left into the entrance of the Gulfport Sportsplex and Gulf Islands Waterpark. 
From the South on Highway 49: Travel past I-10 and turn left onto Landon Road. Travel west on Landon Road 1.0 miles, take a left into the entrance of the Gulfport Sportsplex and Gulf Islands Waterpark.

Q: What forms of payment do you accept?
A: GIWP accepts Cash, Visa, MasterCard, and Discover. Checks are only accepted for reserved groups and birthday parties. For online purchases GIWP accepts Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and Diner’s Club.

Q: Can we bring our own food and drink into the park?
A: Food, beverages and coolers may not be brought inside the park.

Q: Can we bring our own lifejackets?
A: You can bring in your own lifejackets, as long as they are US Coast Guard approved. GIWP also has life jackets available at no additional charge. Swimsuits with built-in floatation devices are not Coast Guard approved, and are not allowed on some attractions.

Q: Can I leave the park and get back in?
A: All guests leaving the park and planning to return later that day are required to show un-tampered with wrist band before re-entering the park.

Q: What can we wear in the pools and water attractions?
A: Appropriate swimwear is required, and subject to waterpark approval. No visible undergarments, jeans, thongs, denim, long pants, belts or cut-off shorts allowed.  Shoes and sunglasses are also not allowed on the rides.  Swimsuits with built-in floatation devices are not Coast Guard approved, and are not allowed on some attractions.  Swim diapers are required for children who aren't potty trained.  Swim diapers are available for purchase in Gully's Gift Shop.

Q: What are the height requirements for the rides?
A: For the safety of our guests, certain rides have height requirements: 42 inches for Horn Island Blaster, Camille, Dear Island Express, Cat Island Catapult, however the are numerous other activities and slides for our smaller guests to enjoy, including Lil’ Pelican Bay, Ship Island Wreck, Spray St. Louis, and Padscagoula.

Q: Do I still have to pay if I don’t get in the water?
A: Yes.

Q: How much does it cost to rent a locker?
A: Lockers are $6 a day plus a $5 deposit. If you return your key at the end of the day you will receive your $5 deposit back. Our lockers provide you with all day, unlimited access to your belongings all day. Lockers are available on a first come basis.

Q: Can I smoke at Gulf Islands Waterpark?
A: Gulf Islands Waterpark is a Smoke-Free Facility, in accordance with the City of Gulfport's Smoke-Free Air Ordinance.
